To turn on JavaScript in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

Opera 9.xx series

To turn on JavaScript in Opera 9.xx series, follow these steps:

  1. Open Opera.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
  3. Click Content in the Preferences list.
  4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5. Click the JavaScript Options button to open the JavaScript Options box.
  6. Check the boxes that you want to allow.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click OK.

Google Chrome(v0.4.154.23)

To turn on JavaScript in Google Chrome(v0.4.154.23), follow these steps:

  1. First close any open Chrome windows.
  2. Right click on a blank area of your Desktop.
  3. Select New.
  4. Create a new Shortcut with the following in the "Type the location of the item:" text box:
    • For Windows Vista:
      %userprofile%\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe -enable-javascript
    • For Windows XP:
      "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\chrome.exe" -enable-javascript

1 Introduction

1.1 Product Overview

The Mobile InfoPLU$® for iPhone® app allows you to access banking information from anywhere and at any time using your iPhone.DIS-364-DIS

  1. View balances, transactions, alerts and bank announcements.
  2. View/Approve ACH and Wire Payments, Positive Pay Issues and Positive Pay Decisions.
  3. View/Decision Positive Pay Exceptions.

2 Initial Setup

After you download the app from the App Store to your iPhone®, you must complete a one-time setup process to register and activate the installation. This process includes steps for registration, set up password, and activation. These are described in the following sections.

2.1 Registration

Description:
The registration function submits user-specific information to the bank. This information must match the data that is set up at the bank.

User Actions:

  1. Input your User ID and Mobile Number. The Device Name field is automatically populated.
       a) The User ID is the same as your M&T Bank Web InfoPLU$® User ID.
       b) The Mobile Number must match the one that is set up with the bank for your User ID.
  2. When your User ID and Mobile Number have been entered, tap the Next button.

2.2 Set Up Password

Description:
The set up password function is used to create the password that you will use to log in to Mobile InfoPLU$®.

User Actions:

  1. Enter the password that you will use to log in. Re-enter the password to confirm your entry.
  2. Tap the Register button to proceed.
       a)  Mobile InfoPLU$ validates the newly created password.
       b)  If the password is valid, the bank will send a one-time activation PIN via email.

Password requirements are as follows:

  1. Password must be at least 8 characters.
  2. Password may not exceed 15 characters.
  3. Password must contain at least one alpha-numeric character.
  4. You cannot re-use any of your previous 12 passwords.

NOTE: M&T Bank recommends that you create a Mobile InfoPLU$ password that is different from your current Web InfoPLU$® password.

2.3 Activation PIN

Description:
The activation function enables Mobile InfoPLU$® on your iPhone®. This is accomplished by entering the activation PIN that was sent via email.

User Actions:

  1. Enter the Activation PIN the bank sent via email.
  2. Tap the Activate button.
        a) If the activation code is valid, the system will load the Login screen.
        b) If the activation code is invalid, an error message will be displayed.

3 Login & Change Password

3.1 Login

Description:
The Login function logs you in to Mobile InfoPLU$®. Your User ID is the same one that you use to log in to Web InfoPLU$®. Your password is the one that was created during the setup process.

Display/Rules:

  1. When the Login screen loads, the cursor defaults to the User ID field and the iPhone® keyboard automatically displays.
  2. User ID is a required field.
  3. Password is a required field.
  4. Three invalid login attempts result in your User ID being locked for 10 minutes.

User Actions:

  1. The Remember User ID setting may be selected for subsequent use. If selected, Mobile InfoPLU$ will remember and display your User ID when you return to the Login screen.
  2. Enter your login credentials and tap the Login button. This will display the main screen and automatically retrieve data from Web InfoPLU$.

NOTE: You must be connected to the Internet in order to retrieve data from the bank.

3.2 Change Password

Description:
The Change Password function on the Home screen allows you to change the password you use to log in to Mobile InfoPLU$®.

User Actions:

  1. Enter your Old Password.
  2. Create a New Password and re-enter it in the Retype Password field. Mobile InfoPLU$ automatically displays the keyboard when you tap one of these fields.
  3. Tap the Done button on the keyboard to complete the password change. Password requirements are as follows:
       a)   New Password and Retype Password fields must be the same.
       b)   Your password must be at least 8 characters.
       c)   Your password may not exceed 15 characters.
       d)   Your password must contain at least one alpha-numeric character.
       e)   You cannot re-use any of your previous 12 passwords.

NOTE: M&T Bank recommends that you create a Mobile InfoPLU$ password that is different from your current Web InfoPLU$® password.

4 General Attributes

4.1 Navigation & Touch Gestures

You can navigate and interact with Mobile InfoPLU$® using standard touch gestures. These include the following: tap, swipe and drag.

Tap: Tapping is the primary way to interact with Mobile InfoPLU$. For example, you can tap a button by touching it with your finger.

Swipe: Swiping is used with Mobile InfoPLU$ to display the Search and Refresh functionality. For example, on the Decisions screen, you can swipe down on the title to display the search functionality.

Drag: You can scroll through these lists by dragging your finger up or down. Dragging your finger to scroll does not activate items on the list (which would be done by tapping). You can navigate between different functions (e.g., Accounts, Approvals, etc.) using the Navigation menu, which is accessed by tapping the iPhone® menu button.

NOTE: The location and look of the iPhone® menu button will vary based on the make and model of your device.

4.2 Common Icons & Controls

Mobile InfoPLU$® contains several commonly used icons and controls.

  1. Settings – Displays the Change Password screen. Note: Settings is only available on the Home screen.
  2. Home – Displays the Home screen.
  3. Accounts – Displays the Accounts screen, allowing you to view balances and activity for your accounts.
  4. Approvals – Displays a summary of the transactions that are pending approval, allowing you to approve/reject.
  5. Decisions – Displays a list of Positive Pay exception items, allowing you to make pay/no pay decisions.
  6. More – Displays additional app options, as described below.
  7. Help – Tapping the Help row displays this user guide.
  8. About – Displays the app's version number and end user license agreement.
  9. Contact Us – Displays the contact information for the Commercial Service Team.
  10. Refresh – Refresh the screen and the system will retrieve any newly available data from the bank.
  11. Logout – Logs you out of the app and returns you to Login screen.

5 Home

5.1 Home Screen

Description:
The Home screen is displayed when the user logs on or taps the Home button in the navigation bar.

The Home screen consists of three sections:

  1. Balances – Displays a cumulative balance of all accounts the user is entitled to view in Web InfoPLU$.® The number in parenthesis indicates the total number of accounts included in the balance. The default balance will be Cash Position information. Previous Day information will be displayed if the user is not entitled to view Cash Position in Web InfoPLU$.
  2. Alerts – Displays notifications on established accounts in Web InfoPLU$.
  3. Bank Announcements – Displays the broadcast messages sent by the bank.

User Actions:

  1. Tap the Balances row to display the balances for all accounts the user is entitled to view in Web InfoPLU$.
  2. Tap an Alert row to view or take action on an alert. For example, if you select an Approval alert, the app will display the appropriate Approve screen so you can approve or reject the transaction.
  3. Tap any row in Bank Announcements to view a specific message from the bank. When you are finished viewing the announcement, tap the Back button to return to the Home screen.

6 Accounts

6.1 Accounts Screen

Description:
The Accounts screen displays the balances of all accounts the user is entitled to view in Web InfoPLU$®. The default view is for Cash Position information.

The Accounts screen is displayed when the user taps

User Actions:

  1. Tap a row to view transactions for a specific account on the Activity page.
  2. Drag your finger up or down to view additional account balances.
  3. Tap the filter icon to switch between Cash Position and Previous Day balance reporting.
       a)   On the Select Filter screen, tap the Previous Day radio button to view previous day reporting.
       b)   Tap the calendar icon to select an alternate date. A pop up will appear. Click the (+) or (-) to change the month, day and year. Tap Done when you have chosen your desired date.
       c)   In the accounts field, tap All to select alternate account options. A screen will appear allowing you to choose alternate account options. Tap the box to the left of the Account name and tap Select to confirm your account setting.
       d)   When you have finished your selections, tap Apply to apply your filter and return to the accounts screen. To clear your selection, tap Clear.
       e)   Tap the up arrow icon at the bottom of the pop-up to return to the Accounts screen.

6.2 Activity Screen

Description:
The Activity screen shows balances and transactions for a specific account.

The Activity screen consists of two sections:

  • Balances – Displays the Available +1 Day Float or Current Available balance for the account based on the filter selection.
  • Account Activity – Displays transactions for the account matching the filter applied.

User Actions:

  1. Tap the Balance row to view all of the balances for the account on the Balance Detail screen.
  2. Tap a transaction row to view the details of the item on the Activity Detail screen.
  3. Drag your finger up or down to view additional account activity.
  4. Tap the filter icon to select a range of dates to filter your search.
       a)   On the Select Filters screen, select a From Date and To Date by tapping the calendar icon to select alternate dates for your search.
       b)   A pop-up will appear. Click the (+) or (-) to change the month, day, and year. Tap Done when you have chosen your desired date.
       c)   When you have finished your selections, tap Apply to apply your filter and return to the accounts screen. To clear your selection, tap Clear.
       d)   Tap the up arrow icon at the bottom of the pop-up to return to the Activity screen.

Search:

  1. Swipe down on the title to display Search functionality and identify items in the Activity list that match entered search criteria. Mobile InfoPLU$® displays search identifiers that are relevant to balance activity. You can search all fields in the list or restrict the search to specific check related fields including the Type, Amount and/or Text.
       a)   Select the desired search criteria and then tap the Search field. Mobile InfoPLU$ displays the keyboard and the Cancel button will be replaced by a Done button.
       b)   Enter the search keys and tap the Go key on the keyboard. Items that match the entered criteria will be displayed.

6.3 Balance Detail Screen

Description:
The Balance Detail screen displays the various balance types for an account.

User Actions:

  1. Tap the Activity button to return to the Activity screen.
  2. Drag your finger up or down to view additional account balance types.

6.4 Activity Detail Screen

Description:
The Activity Detail screen displays detailed transaction information such as posting date, transaction type (debit or credit), amount and description. Also, if applicable you can view images of the item.

User Actions:

  1. Tap the Activity button to return to Activity screen.
  2. Tap the Camera icon to display the bank and front of a check image. When you are finished viewing images, tap the Back button to return to the Activity Detail screen.

7 Approvals

Description:
The Approvals screen allows you to view a summary of the transactions that are pending your approval.

User Actions:

  1. Tap the desired transaction type in the list to view pending transactions for the selected service.

NOTE: Services available for approval include: ACH, Positive Pay Decisions, Positive Pay Issues, and Wire.

7.1 ACH Approvals Screen

Description:
The ACH approval workflow allows you to view the details of ACH batches that require approval and either approve or reject them. You may approve or reject ACH batches either one at a time, quick approve multiple batches, or search for specific batches.

User Actions:

Approve Individual Batch

  1. Drag up or down on ACH Approvals list to scroll through the pending ACH batches.
  2. Tap an individual row to view the details of the ACH batch.
       a)   Tap the Approve button to approve the ACH batch.
       b)   Tap the Reject button to reject the ACH batch.

Quick Approve Batches (Multiple)

  1. Tap the Edit button on ACH Approvals home screen for quick approval.
  2. Tap multiple check boxes to select ACH batches for Quick Approve/Reject. To approve the selection, tap the Approve button. Mobile InfoPLU$® will display the selected ACH batches.
       a)   Tap the ACH Approvals button to cancel the approval process and return to the previous screen.
       b)   Tap the Confirm button to approve the selected ACH batches. You will be returned to the previous screen and the approved ACH batches will be removed from the list.
  3. Tap multiple check boxes to select ACH batches for Quick Approve/Reject. To reject the selection, tap the Reject button. Mobile InfoPLU$ will display the selected ACH batches.
       a)   Tap the ACH Approvals button to cancel the rejection process and return to the previous screen.
       b)   You have the option to enter a comment for each ACH batch to be rejected. When complete, tap the Confirm button to reject the selected ACH batches. You will be returned to the previous screen and the rejected ACH batches will be removed from the list.

Search

  1. Swipe down on the title to display Search functionality and identify items in the ACH Approvals list that match entered search criteria. Mobile InfoPLU$ displays search identifiers that are relevant to ACH batches. You can search all fields in the list or restrict the search to specific check related fields including the Tracking # and/or Amount.
       a)   Select the desired search criteria and then tap the Search field. Mobile InfoPLU$ displays the keyboard and the Cancel button will be replaced by a Done button.
       b)   Enter the search keys and tap the Go key on the keyboard. Items that match the entered criteria will be displayed.

7.2 Positive Pay Decisions Approvals Screen

Description:
The Positive Pay Decisions approval workflow allows you to view the details of Positive Pay decisions that require approval and either approve or reject them. You may approve or reject decisions either one at a time, quick approve multiple decisions, or search for specific decisions.

User Actions:

Approve Individual Decision

  1. Drag up or down on Decisions Approval list to scroll through the pending decisions.
  2. Tap an individual row to view the details of the decision.
       a)   Tap the Approve button to approve the decision.
       b)   Tap the Reject button to reject the decision.

Quick Approve Decisions (Multiple)

  1. Tap the Edit button on the Positive Pay Decisions home screen for quick approval.
  2. Tap multiple check boxes to select decisions for Quick Approve/Reject. To approve the selection, tap the Approve button. Mobile InfoPLU$ will display the selected decisions.
       a)   Tap the Positive Pay button to cancel the approval process and return to the previous screen.
       b)   Tap the Confirm button to approve the selected decisions. You will be returned to the previous screen and the approved decisions will be removed from the list.
  3. Tap multiple check boxes to select decisions for Quick Approve/Reject. To reject the selection, tap the Reject button. Mobile InfoPLU$ will display the selected decisions.
       a)   Tap the Positive Pay button to cancel the rejection process and return to the previous screen.
       b)   Tap the Confirm button to reject the selected decisions. You will be returned to the previous screen and the rejected decisions will be removed from the list.

  1. Swipe down on the title to display Search functionality and identify items in the Positive Pay Decision Approvals list that match entered search criteria. 7.3 Positive Pay Issues Approvals Screen

Description:
The Positive Pay Issues approval workflow allows you to view the details of Positive Pay Check Issues that require approval and either approve or delete them. You may approve or delete issues either one at a time, quick approve or delete multiple issues, or search for specific issues.

User Actions:
Approve Individual Issue

  1. Drag up or down on Issues Approvals list to scroll through the pending issues.
  2. Tap an individual row to view the details of the issue.
       a)   Tap the Approve button to approve the issue.
       b)   Tap the Delete button to delete the issue.

Quick Approve Issues (Multiple)

  1. Tap the Edit button on the Positive Pay Issues home screen for quick approval.
  2. Tap multiple check boxes to select issues for Quick Approve/Delete. To approve the selection, tap the Approve button. Mobile InfoPLU$ will display the selected items.
       a)   Tap the Positive Pay button to cancel the approval process and return to the previous screen.
       b)   Tap the Confirm button to approve the selected issues. You will be returned to the previous screen and the approved issues will be removed from the list.
  3. Tap multiple check boxes to select issues for Quick Approve/Delete. To delete the selection, tap the Delete button. Mobile InfoPLU$ will display the selected items.
       a)   Tap the Positive Pay button to cancel the deletion process and return to the previous screen.
       b)   Tap the Confirm button to delete the selected issues. You will be returned to the previous screen and the deleted items will be removed from the list.

Search

  1. Swipe down on the title to display Search functionality and identify items in the Positive Pay Issue Approvals list that match entered search criteria. Mobile InfoPLU$ displays search identifiers that are relevant to Positive Pay issues. You can search all fields in the list or restrict the search to specific check related fields including the Serial #, Amount and/or Payee.
       a)   Select the desired search criteria and then tap the Search field. Mobile InfoPLU$ displays the keyboard and the Cancel button will be replaced by a Done button.

7.4 Wire Approvals Screen

Description:
The Wires approval workflow allows you to view the details of wire payments that require approval and allows you to either approve or reject them. You may approve or reject wire payments either one at a time, quick approve multiple wire payments, or search for specific wires.

NOTE: All types of wires will be included. Quick approval will not be available for international cross-currency wires. These wires will need to be approved individually on the Wire Detail screen. If the exchange rate has changed, the new rate and amount will display in red.

User Actions:

Approve Individual Wire

  1. Drag up or down on the Wire Approvals list to scroll through the pending wire payments
  2. Tap an individual row to view the details of the wire payment.
       a)   Tap the Approve button to approve the wire.
       b)   Tap the Reject button to reject the wire.

Quick Approve Wires (Multiple)

  1. Tap the Edit button on the Wire Approvals home screen for quick approval.
  2. Tap multiple check boxes to select wire payments for Quick Approve/Reject. To approve the selection, tap the Approve button. Mobile InfoPLU$ will display the selected items.
       a)   Tap the Wire Approvals button to cancel the approval process and return to the previous screen.
       b)   Tap the Confirm button to approve the selected wires. You will be returned to the previous screen and the approved wires will be removed from the list.
  3. Tap multiple check boxes to select wires for Quick Approve/Reject. To reject the selection, tap the Reject button. Mobile InfoPLU$ will display the selected items.
       a)   Tap the Wire Approvals button to cancel the reject process and return to the previous screen.
       b)   You will have the option to enter a comment for each wire to be rejected. When complete, tap the Confirm button to reject the selected wires. You will be returned to the previous screen and the rejected wires will be removed from the list.

Search

  1. Swipe down on the title to display Search functionality and identify items in the Wire Approvals list that match entered search criteria. Mobile InfoPLU$ displays search identifiers that are relevant to wire payments. You can search all fields in the list or restrict the search to specific check related fields including the Tracking #, Amount and/or Beneficiary.
       a)   Select the desired search criteria and then tap the Search field. Mobile InfoPLU$ displays the keyboard and the Cancel button will be replaced by a Done button.
       b)   Enter the search keys and tap the Go key on the keyboard. Items that match the entered criteria will be displayed.

8 Decisions

8.1 Decisions Screen

Description: The Decisions screen allows you to view a list of Positive Pay exceptions and make pay/no pay decisions or search for specific exceptions.

User Actions:

Make Decision

  1. Drag up or down on the list to scroll through the exceptions that have been returned from the bank.
  2. Tap the row of an exception to view more details and make a pay/no pay decision on that individual item.
       a)   Tap the Camera icon to display the front and back of a check image. When you are finished viewing the image, tap the Close button to return to the Exception Detail screen.
       b)   Tap the Edit button on the Decisions home screen to make a pay/no pay decision for multiple exceptions.

Make Pay Decision

  1. To Pay Positive Pay exceptions, you must first select the items by tapping the appropriate check boxes. Next, tap the Pay button. Mobile InfoPLU$® will display the selected exceptions.
  2. Tap the Cancel button to return to the Decisions screen.
  3. Tap the Confirm button to process the exceptions you wish to pay. You will be returned to the Decisions screen and exceptions will be removed from the list.

Make Return Decision

  1. To return a Positive Pay exception, you must first select the item by tapping the appropriate row. Next, tap the Return button. Mobile InfoPLU$ will display the selected exception.
       a)   Tap the Decisions button to return to the Decisions screen.
       b)   To continue with Return decision, tap a row and select the applicable reason from the list.
       c)   Tap the Done button.
       d)   Tap the Confirm button to process the exception you wish to return. You will be returned to the Decisions screen and the exception will be removed from the list.

Pay/No Pay Exceptions (Multiple)

  1. Tap the Edit button on the Decisions home screen to make a pay/no pay decision for multiple exceptions.
  2. To pay Positive Pay exceptions, you must first select the items by tapping the appropriate check boxes. Next, tap the Pay button. Mobile InfoPLU$ will display the selected exceptions.
       a)   Tap the Decisions button to return to the Decisions screen.
       b)   Tap the Confirm button to process the exceptions you wish to pay. You will be returned to the Decisions screen and exceptions will be removed from the list.
  3. To return Positive Pay exceptions, you must first select the items by tapping the appropriate check boxes. Next, tap the Return button. Mobile InfoPLU$ will display the selected exceptions.
       a)   Tap the Decisions button to return to the Decisions screen.
       b)   To continue with Return decision, tap a row and select the applicable reason from the list.
       c)   Tap the Done button.
       d)   Tap the Confirm button to process the exceptions you wish to return. You will be returned to the Decisions screen and exceptions will be removed from the list.

Search

  1. Swipe down on the title to display Search functionality and identify items in the Positive Pay Exceptions list that match entered search criteria. Mobile InfoPLU$ displays search identifiers that are relevant to Positive Pay exceptions. You can search all fields in the list or restrict the search to specific check related fields including the Serial #, Amount and/or Payee.
       a)   After selecting which fields to search in, tap the Search field. Mobile InfoPLU$ displays the keyboard and the Cancel button will be replaced by a Done button.
       b)   Enter the search keys and tap the Go key on the keyboard. Items that match the entered criteria will be displayed.

9.1 About

Description:
The More section allows you to access help, log out of app, view version and Licensing Terms, and access bank contact information.

User Actions:

  1. Help – Displays this user guide.
  2. Logout – Allows you to log out of the app.
  3. About – View the Mobile InfoPLU$ version number and License Terms.
  4. Contact Us – Displays the contact information for the Commercial Service Team (1-800-724-2240 Monday–Friday 8am–6pm ET)
  5. Tap the More button on any of the above screens to return to the More menu
