These personal stories feature Executive Associates (EA) describing their experiences with our EA program and its impact on their careers.

A Well-Rounded Experience

“Coming from the nonprofit world, I arrived at M&T looking to gain broad exposure to core business functions and projects. The EA program provided these opportunities and more – chances to lead, learn, grow and work alongside incredible colleagues.”

Meeting Role Models

“Joining the bank as an EA gave me the opportunity to work on high-level projects and gain exposure to many senior managers who I likely would never have met had it not been for the program. In addition, I’ve also had the opportunity to try my hand at different areas of banking – so far, I’ve had three very different roles and have enjoyed each one!”

Malati
Vice President
Human Resources Division
EA Class of 2008

Learning to Lead

“With my MBA, I was looking for a company where I could have a career, become a leader in the community, and have a family. I have had an exciting and varied career at M&T that has taken me around the world, all while raising three children and being on several boards. Making a difference in the world is what drives me, and my career at M&T has given me this opportunity at work and beyond.”
