Microsoft Internet Explorer

To turn on JavaScript in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Web content zone that you are using (for example, click Local Intranet),
    and then click Custom Level button.
  3. Locate Active scripting under Scripting settings. Click to select the Enable radio button.
  4. Click OK button on Security Settings and Internet Options windows to save your changes.

To turn on JavaScript in Firefox, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.., and then click the Content tab.
  2. Click to select the Enable JavaScript check box.
  3. Click OK button to save the setting.

Safari

To turn on JavaScript in Safari, follow these steps:

  1. Open Safari
  2. On the Safari menu, click on Preferences.
  3. Click the Security icon.
  4. Click on Enable JavaScript next to the Web Content section if it is not checked
  5. Close the Preferences window
  6. Close and restart Safari.

Opera 9.xx series

To turn on JavaScript in Opera 9.xx series, follow these steps:

  1. Open Opera.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
  3. Click Content in the Preferences list.
  4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5. Click the JavaScript Options button to open the JavaScript Options box.
  6. Check the boxes that you want to allow.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click OK.

Google Chrome(v0.4.154.23)

To turn on JavaScript in Google Chrome(v0.4.154.23), follow these steps:

  1. First close any open Chrome windows.
  2. Right click on a blank area of your Desktop.
  3. Select New.
  4. Create a new Shortcut with the following in the "Type the location of the item:" text box:
    • For Windows Vista:
      %userprofile%\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe -enable-javascript
    • For Windows XP:
      "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\chrome.exe" -enable-javascript
      Note: You'll have to enclose the file path for Windows XP in quotes due to there being spaces in it.

​Alternative Banking is responsible for enhancing the delivery and overall customer experience of M&T Bank's products and services to our customers outside of the branch environment. Alternative Banking is comprised of Online Banking, the Telephone Banking Center and Retail Service and Support.

​The Audit Department provides independent, objective, assurance and advisory services designed to add value to and improve the organization's operations. They determine whether the organization's network of risk management, control and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning effectively. Opportunities for improving internal controls or business processes may be identified while conducting audits. In addition to conducting periodic audits, the Audit Department performs advisory services, assists in the investigation of suspected fraudulent activities, and evaluates and assesses significant merging/consolidating functions and new or changing services, processes and operations.

​Central Technology provides and services the implemented technology solutions for our internal and bank customers. The primary responsibilities of the Central Technology staff are to recommend, procure, design, develop, implement and manage business software within the bank. We act as trusted advisors to our business clients, committing ourselves to maximizing stakeholder value. We make a difference through consultative guidance, innovative alternatives, project leadership, employee commitment and consistent, quality execution.

​Technology Infrastructure and Information Security (TI/IS) is responsible for the delivery and operational support of informational services delivered through our various computing and network platforms, while maintaining the highest levels of security and recoverability. This department includes the following areas of specialization: Network Engineering, Platform Engineering, Storage Engineering, Secure Services, End Point Engineering, Messaging & Collaboration, Windows 7 Transition and End User Computing.

​Enterprise Security is responsible for guiding the bank's overall security strategy and operation, including:

  • Cyber Security. Ensures that the bank has effective controls ensuring sound information and cyber protection of our network and data
  • Financial Crimes Management. Safeguards our customers and systems from fraudulent activity including identity theft, card theft, recruitment scams, skimming and elder abuse
  • Physical Security and Investigations. Manages physical well-being of people, assets and property; investigates financial crimes committed against the bank and its customers
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity. Ensures that the bank is able to recover data and resume business in the event of a disaster

​The Credit Division is made up of five main departments:

  • Loan Controls Department. Responsible for recommending and implementing commercial credit policies and systems to minimize and control credit risk
  • Commercial Loan Analysis. Provides a thorough credit evaluation and offers a credit quality opinion in every analysis that presents the Bank's loan committees
  • Loan Review Department. Responsible for the independent and objective monitoring of M&T credit quality
  • Special Assets. Manages all aspects of problem commercial and business banking portfolios and asset-based management support
  • Enterprise-Wide Risk Management. Includes the following areas: Enterprise-Wide Risk Management (E-WRM), New Products, Services and Markets Committee (NPSC), Corporate Operational Risk Management (COR) and Model Risk Oversight Committee

​The Legal Department (formerly the Counsel's Office) provides legal representation and support for all segments of M&T and facilitates the expedient resolution of legal concerns that affect M&T. The attorneys and support staff work as a team to serve M&T in a professional, timely, cost-effective manner, consistent with the needs and expectations of M&T. The Legal Department is organized into five cluster groups in which the lawyers and their support staff are responsible for providing legal services to M&T's business units.

​The Marketing & Communications Division is responsible for developing, promoting and protecting the M&T Bank and Wilmington Trust brands.
