Lending in the community
M&T lends in the markets where we live and work, to people and enterprises whom we know, allowing for flexibility in our approach with customers and keeping decisions close to the customer. The majority of credits are managed and approved locally at various managers' loan committees, which consist of in-market credit deputies and line managers.
