NACHA Rule Change: ARC & BOC Opt-Out Requirement Removal
Effective March 18, 2011, Accounts Receivable Entry (ARC) and Back Office Conversion Entry (BOC) ACH Originators are no longer required to offer customers the option of “opting out” of having their checks converted to ARC or BOC ACH debits. Prior to this NACHA rule change, ARC and BOC ACH Originators were required to allow their check writing customers the option of “opting out” of having eligible checks below $25,000 converted to ACH.
Originators can still choose to allow their clients to “opt out” of having checks converted if they receive appropriate notification.
