  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.., and then click the Content tab.
  2. Click to select the Enable JavaScript check box.
  3. Click OK button to save the setting.

To turn on JavaScript in Safari, follow these steps:

  1. Open Safari
  2. On the Safari menu, click on Preferences.
  3. Click the Security icon.
  4. Click on Enable JavaScript next to the Web Content section if it is not checked
  5. Close the Preferences window
  6. Close and restart Safari.

Opera 9.xx series

To turn on JavaScript in Opera 9.xx series, follow these steps:

  1. Open Opera.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
  3. Click Content in the Preferences list.
  4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5. Click the JavaScript Options button to open the JavaScript Options box.
  6. Check the boxes that you want to allow.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click OK.

Google Chrome(v0.4.154.23)

To turn on JavaScript in Google Chrome(v0.4.154.23), follow these steps:

  1. First close any open Chrome windows.
  2. Right click on a blank area of your Desktop.
  3. Select New.
  4. Create a new Shortcut with the following in the "Type the location of the item:" text box:
    • For Windows Vista:
      %userprofile%\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe -enable-javascript
    • For Windows XP:
      "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\chrome.exe" -enable-javascript
      Note: You'll have to enclose the file path for Windows XP in quotes due to there being spaces in it.

This Mobile Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to users of mobile banking through M&T Bank. The term "M&T" or "we," "us" or "our" in any mobile banking application we own and control,​ and in this Policy,​ refers to M&T Bank and our affiliates or subsidiaries. 1. Agreement Policy

By viewing the M&T Bank mobile banking application or using M&T Bank's website on a mobile device, you consent to this Policy, which includes your consent to disclose and use information about you in the manner detailed in this Policy. Other privacy policies may also apply in addition to the terms of this Mobile Privacy Policy, including, but not limited to, our Privacy Policy and Internet Privacy Policy.​

Information that we may collect about you through mobile banking includes information that you voluntarily disclose such as your name, address, phone number, email address and other contact information; transaction information; information resulting from your mobile activity; and your location information. Working with Other Companies

From time to time, M&T may establish a relationship with other companies on the Internet to provide you with additional value and products and services we may not offer ourselves. In these circumstances, we will treat your personal information in the same manner described in our Privacy Policy.​

There may be certain information transmitted to us regarding your location when you request information through applications on your mobile device, such as your physical location when you search for a nearby ATM. This information may be provided to mapping applications to assist you in locating nearby ATMs and to our mobile vendor for purposes of providing these services. Location data we collect from your mobile device to assist us in personalizing your experience with our application will not be retained by M&T. This data will be stored only in the timeframe required to operate the application and deliver the service to you.​


We may use cookies, which are small text files that a website's server places on your computer. Cookies make the personalization of your web experiences possible and can also be used to retain data related to a particular browser. Cookies are shared with M&T's mobile vendor to allow your User ID to be remembered on the mobile site and/or application.​

3. Security Measures

We protect information you provide us in several ways. We use encryption standards and SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology to help ensure that information passes to M&T without being intercepted by third parties. User IDs and passcodes are used to help safeguard access to your information through the Mobile Banking Application or Mobile Web. As always, we strongly encourage you to assist us in that effort by not sharing your M&T Mobile or Online Banking User ID and passcodes with anyone.​
