Typically, M&T Bank only considers income that's reported on tax returns
when we conduct income verification. The exception, of course, is if the income
is legally tax-free.
As we go through the mortgage application process with you, we'll review your
income history and we'll crunch other financial data. If you report information
that's not on your tax return or a W-2, we'll ask you about it as part
of verifying income. It might be removed from consideration in your application
– but that might not hurt your overall eligibility for a loan, either. No worries
here – it's casual.
