You've landed a job – excellent! Now you're taking the next step by going
through the mortgage application process to buy a home. While you search for a home,
we'll be verifying income.
Often people establish themselves in a new job for a while before taking on large
financial obligations. You're going to want to make sure it's a good fit, you're
having fun and it's everything you thought it would be. Waiting a few months to
confirm all this is a thoughtful step.
You're new to your career, but we can definitely work with you. If you were
a full-time student before you started your job, list the school you attended on
your application. Be sure to include the number of years you attended in the “length
of employment” field. Declare an income of “0.”
While your loan adviser works through the income verification process, we'll likely
need things like your transcript, your offer letter from your current employer,
and other supporting info to show you're ready to rock – and borrow money
for a home.
