Benefits of Portfolio Architect

Experience You Can Trust

M&T Bank's affiliate, Wilmington Trust Investment Advisors, Inc. (Wilmington Trust), provides its asset allocation and manager research insights to M&T Bank in support of Portfolio Architect.

You'll work directly with your M&T financial professional to complete a risk analyzer questionnaire. Based on the information you provide, a Portfolio Architect program may be recommended to you, which your M&T financial professional will explain in detail.

Our advisors are approachable and they make responsible recommendations. And they are conveniently located in your community to provide you with the guidance, understanding and access to help you achieve your goals.

A Prudent, Conservative Approach to Portfolio Construction

The Investment Strategy Team takes a prudent, conservative approach to portfolio construction, factoring in risk tolerance, tax-sensitivity and other considerations to create model portfolios that are designed to provide competitive long-term returns with reduced downside risk and volatility.

Additionally, the team forecasts overarching market and economic trends and then uses those insights to develop long-term (strategic) and short-term (tactical) asset allocations. Although a critical part of portfolio performance, asset allocation and diversification do not ensure a profit or guarantee against a loss.

Ongoing Portfolio Management

Portfolio Architect is not a "set it and forget it" program. Once your account is established, you'll have 24/7 online access to your account, as well as statements and quarterly performance reports to help you monitor your portfolio's progress toward your destination. Your M&T financial professional will remain by your side, always available to meet with you periodically to review your needs in the face of evolving goals, time horizons or risk tolerance levels.
