Automatic Mobile App Updates
Customers with automatic updates enabled on their mobile devices do not need to take any further action.
Manual Mobile Updates
Customers who do not have automatic updates enabled on their mobile device can update the M&T Mobile Banking app by going to the Apple App Store or Google Play store to download the most recent version.
Customers who have not updated the M&T Mobile Banking app will be presented a message to download the latest version. Customers that do not download the latest version will not be able to access their accounts through the app.
Customers who have not updated to the M&T Mobile Banking app will not receive the following push notifications:
- OTP (One Time Passcode) for features such as Bill Pay & Zelle.
- Account Alerts, Card Alerts & Zelle®
Please note, customers can still access their account by logging into M&T Online Banking at mtb.com on their desktop, laptop or mobile browser.

If you are an iPhone® customer, you may already be subscribed to automatic updates by default, unless the app update was turned off manually. Learn more about how to manage your automatic updates here.

Customers that do not update their app to the latest version will not be able to access their account through the M&T Mobile Banking app. Customers will, however, still be able to log into their account at mtb.com using their desktop, laptop, or mobile browser.
