Microsoft Internet Explorer

To turn on JavaScript in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Web content zone that you are using (for example, click Local Intranet),
    and then click Custom Level button.
  3. Locate Active scripting under Scripting settings. Click to select the Enable radio button.
  4. Click OK button on Security Settings and Internet Options windows to save your changes.

To turn on JavaScript in Firefox, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.., and then click the Content tab.
  2. Click to select the Enable JavaScript check box.
  3. Click OK button to save the setting.

To turn on JavaScript in Safari, follow these steps:

  1. Open Safari
  2. On the Safari menu, click on Preferences.
  3. Click the Security icon.
  4. Click on Enable JavaScript next to the Web Content section if it is not checked
  5. Close the Preferences window
  6. Close and restart Safari.

Opera 9.xx series

To turn on JavaScript in Opera 9.xx series, follow these steps:

  1. Open Opera.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
  3. Click Content in the Preferences list.
  4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5. Click the JavaScript Options button to open the JavaScript Options box.
  6. Check the boxes that you want to allow.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click OK.

Google Chrome(v0.4.154.23)

To turn on JavaScript in Google Chrome(v0.4.154.23), follow these steps:

  1. First close any open Chrome windows.
  2. Right click on a blank area of your Desktop.
  3. Select New.
  4. Create a new Shortcut with the following in the "Type the location of the item:" text box:
    • For Windows Vista:
      %userprofile%\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe -enable-javascript
    • For Windows XP:
      "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\chrome.exe" -enable-javascript
      Note: You'll have to enclose the file path for Windows XP in quotes due to there being spaces in it.

  • ​M&T Mobile Text Banking is available to M&T Online Banking customers with an eligible account. Enrolling is easy and takes just a few minutes. To start using M&T Mobile Text Banking, log in to M&T Online Banking, select the “Services” tab, then select "Mobile Banking."

  • ​M&T does not charge a fee for M&T Mobile Text Banking. Your carrier’s messaging and data charges may apply when you use this service, so check with your mobile provider.

  • ​No personally identifiable information will be exchanged through the text messages you send or receive through M&T Mobile Text Banking other than your balances or transaction information, depending on the text command sent to M&T. Instead of your account number, M&T uses the account nicknames you chose during M&T Mobile Text Banking enrollment.

  • ​​Yes. You can select the accounts you want to see with M&T Mobile Text Banking and exclude those you do not want to see. Select the “Services” tab in M&T Online Banking, then select “Mobile Banking” to customize your M&T Mobile Text Banking accounts.

  • ​To add a mobile number, select the “Services” tab in M&T Online Banking, select “Mobile Banking,” and then select the “Enroll Another Mobile Phone” button. To delete a mobile number, select the “Delete Number” icon next to the mobile number that you would no longer like to use. You will then need to add a new mobile number. To complete the process, a text message will be sent to the new phone number you entered. We recommend you have your phone with you because this activation code expires after 10 minutes. You can enroll up to two mobile phones.

  • ​M&T Mobile Text Banking is compatible with most major mobile providers.

  • ​If you don’t see all of your accounts, you will need to set your preferences in M&T Online Banking to select the accounts you would like to see in Mobile Banking. Select the "Settings and Support" tab in M&T Online Banking, then select “Account Display.”

  • M&T Mobile Banking is available to all M&T Online Banking customers, providing three ways to access your account information from your mobile device:

    • M&T App. iPhone® (iOS version 5.1.1 and later) and Android™ (Android OS version 2.2 and later) users can download and use​ our Mobile Banking app to access their accoun​​​​t information, check balances, pay bills, find locations, and more
    • Mobile Website. Use your phone's mobile browser (such as Safari or Chrome) for account access on our mobile-friendly website
    • ​Text Banking. Enroll in Text Banking to access account information using text commands
  • ​M&T does not charge a fee to download our app or access our mobile website. Your carrier’s data charges may apply when you use this service, so check with your mobile provider.

  • ​Most accounts that you currently access in M&T Online Banking can be accessed through M&T Mobile Banking.

    You will be able to view the following M&T accounts:​

    • Savings
    • Certificates of Deposit (CDs)
    • Holiday Club Accounts
    • Home Equity Lines of Credit
    • Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
    • Installment/General Purpose Loans

  • ​​Log in to M&T Online Banking​, select the ”Settings and Support” tab, then select “Account Display.”  

    • To change which accounts appear in M&T Mobile Banking, check or uncheck the boxes in the column labeled “View in Mobile”
    • To edit nicknames for your accounts, find the text boxes under the column labeled “Mobile Nicknames” and enter new text. Note that these nicknames are changed separately from M&T Online Banking account nicknames​
  • ​If M&T Mobile Banking is not supported by your device, you will be redirected to the full M&T website.​
